HERB Balm - Lemon 8.5cm/9cm
A bushy upright perennial with wrinkled, light green leaves and spikes of yellow flowers from June to August. Can be used in stuffings, jams, fruit salads, vegetable salads and fruit drinks. Height - 60-120cm (2-4ft); Spread - 45cm (18in). Prefers a well-drained soil in a sunny position.
HERB Chives - Common 8.5/9cm
Aromatic perennial with green leaves. Dense umbels of bell-shaped bright pink flowers from May to July. Grown for its edible, hollow dark green leaves for use in salads, soups etc. Height - 60cm (24in); Spread - 8cm (3in). Will grow in most well-drained soils in sun or partial shade.
HERB Coriander 8.5/9cm
(Coriandrum sativum). An annual with white flowers in summer followed by round seeds. The leaves before flowering have the best flavour. Whole plant is edible -both the leaves and the seeds. Height - 60cm (24in). Prefers a very well-drained sunny position.

Bright green leaves with mauve flowers in Summer. Used for mint sauce, marinades and seasoning meat and fish. Prefers sun or part-shade in a fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Height - 45cm (18in). Spread 30cm+ (12in).
HERB Sage - Tricolor 9cm
(Salvia officinalis Tricolor). An upright hardy form with leaves which are green, cream and mauve tinted. Prefers a well-drained soil in full sun. Height - 40cm+ (16in+). Culinary Use - Stuffings and stews.
HERB Thyme - Broad Leaf 8.5cm/9cm
(Thymus pulegioides). A low-growing thyme with rounded dark green leaves and spikes of deep pink flowers in Summer. Leaves can be used with fish and chicken as well as in stews. Prefers a sunny position in moist but very well-drained soil. Trim after flowering. Height - 25cm (10in).
HERB Mint - Moroccan 8.5cm/9cm
(Mentha spicata var. crispa). A spreading perennial with spearmint flavoured leaves. Dense clusters of white flowers from June to August. Prefers a fertile, moist, well-drained soil in a sunny position. Height 40cm.

An upright hardy variety with large, full-flavoured, silvery-green leaves. Height - 30-75cm (12-30in). Prefers a well-drained soil in full sun. Culinary Use - Stuffings and stews.
