
HERB Coriander - Vietnamese 9cm
(Persicaria odorata). A spreading perennial with small creamy flowers, having a mild 'coriander' flavour with a kick of lemon. Add to soups or stir frys at the end of cooking. Ideal for growing in a container to bring indoors over winter. Height - 30cm (12in). Prefers a partially shady position and moist, well-drained, fertile soil.
HERB Mint - After Eight 9cm
Dark green leaves with dark veins. Dense clusters of mauve-pink flowers from June to August. Can be grown in pots. The extra strong peppermint flavour has a hint of chocolate. Add to puddings, Summer drinks and tea. Prefers sun or part-shade in moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Height - 60cm (2ft).
HERB Mint - Moroccan 8.5cm/9cm
(Mentha spicata var. crispa). A spreading perennial with spearmint flavoured leaves. Dense clusters of white flowers from June to August. Prefers a fertile, moist, well-drained soil in a sunny position. Height 40cm.
HERB Sage - Common 8.5cm/9cm
An evergreen sub-shrub, with very aromatic, finely veined, grey-green leaves and short spikes of showy pale blue flowers in early Summer. Prefers a well-drained soil in full sun. Height - 50cm+ (20in+). Culinary Use - Stuffings and stews.
