
HERB Coriander - Vietnamese 9cm
(Persicaria odorata). A spreading perennial with small creamy flowers, having a mild 'coriander' flavour with a kick of lemon. Add to soups or stir frys at the end of cooking. Ideal for growing in a container to bring indoors over winter. Height - 30cm (12in). Prefers a partially shady position and moist, well-drained, fertile soil.
HERB Curry Plant - Dwarf 9cm
A bushy evergreen subshrub with woolly stems and fragrant, narrow silver-grey to yellowish green leaves. Dark yellow flowerheads from summer to autumn. Height - 60cm (2ft); Spread - 90cm (3ft). Prefers well-drained soil in a sunny position.
HERB Mint - After Eight 9cm
Dark green leaves with dark veins. Dense clusters of mauve-pink flowers from June to August. Can be grown in pots. The extra strong peppermint flavour has a hint of chocolate. Add to puddings, Summer drinks and tea. Prefers sun or part-shade in moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Height - 60cm (2ft).
HERB Mint - Corsican 9cm
(Mentha requienii). The smallest of the mints, forms a low carpet of tiny bright green leaves with minute purple flowers. Very strong pepermint scent. Excellent ground cover plant for damp shade. Leaves can be used sparingly in salads. Prefers sun or part-shade in a fertile, moist but well-drained soil.
HERB Sage - 'Growers Friend' 9cm
An upright hardy variety with large, full-flavoured, silvery-green leaves. Height - 30-75cm (12-30in). Prefers a well-drained soil in full sun. Culinary Use - Stuffings and stews.
