A form of 'Red-hot Poker'. This variety has dense heads of long narrow lemon-yellow flowers from green buds. Prefers sun or partial shade in humus-rich, well-drained soil. Height - 85cm (32in); Spread - 30cm (1ft). Flowering time - July to September.

Self fertile. Aka - Java Peach, is an unusual variety that crops small, flat-shaped fruits which look a lot like sugary doughnuts. Very sweet and succulent light orange flesh, ideal for children especially with its nick-name Sat-on! Clusters of stunning light pink flowers during the spring. Grow against a sheltered, sunny, south facing wall in moist but well-drained soil. Picking time - Early August.
Rhubarb (Rheum) 'Fulton's Strawberry Surprise' 3L
A strong vigorous variety with vivid red stems and a well-balanced acidity. Rhubarbs need an open, sunny site with moist, but free-draining soil. Avoid frost pockets as the stems are susceptible to frost. Do not harvest during the first year after planting as this will reduce the vigour. Once planted, it should not be moved and appreciates a generous annual mulch of well-rotted compost or manure.
