Bamboos

A superb variety combining exceptional hardiness with great beauty. The yellow stems have alternate dark-green grooves. The culms often grow zig-zag at first, then straight. Height - 4-5m (12-15ft) in the U.K. Best in a sheltered position (from cold, drying winds) in partial-shade and humus-rich, well-drained soil.
